Na sexta-feira (19), a juíza Shirley Kornreich, da Suprema Corte de Nova York, decidiu contra a cantora Kesha, afirmando que ela deve permanecer contratualmente ligada à Sony Music e à Kemosabe Records, gravadora criada e comandada por Dr. Luke.
Kesha acusa o produtor de tê-la drogado, abusado sexualmente e atormentado psicologicamente há quase dez anos.
Dr. Luke e a Sony dizem que ela está violando o contrato por não fazer os três álbuns restantes dos cinco prometidos. “Você está pedindo ao tribunal para dizimar um contrato que foi fortemente negociado e é típico para a indústria”, disse a juíza Kornreich.
Uma foto de Kesha aos prantos após ouvir a declaração da juíza repercutiu na mídia e várias celebridades logo mostraram apoio, com a hashtag #FreeKesha. A decisão final do julgamento foi adiada, ainda sem data confirmada da próxima audiência.
